lg kp500 factory reset

i have solution for -- How did you get this code to work and you can't type * and #, only numbers (digits only) when phone ask for unlock code?
1.insert accepted sim card
2.using another phone make call on the sim card of the lg phone
3.answer and now u can see u can use keypad while your call is active
4.Type 1809#*500# on the handset's keypad and select the reset option to 'restore factory' settings.
now your phone is reset .
